New Phones
Time to get a new phone as my S4 is getting a little unreliable.

I'm considering the Samsung S6 or the HTC ONE M9.

I won't buy an iPhone as I'm not a remedial and Apple is a thundercunt of a company.

Any recommendations?

"It's...a Walkman that can hold your entire music collection,"

They can hold 1TB of high quality audio in addition to all that other shit?

Today? This VERY instance?

NOW, I'm slightly impressed. But only slightly.

Right. I'm hijacking this cunt of a thread with a real man's question about phones.

Anybody got an e-mail address for queries at Orange (EE)?

Their cunt of a website looks like they've found the worst performing Indian call centre and digitised it for on-line amusement: it can't have been done for commercial business purposes.

Excellent point, chim. I may upgrade to the Nexus 6 so it's nice to read that you like massive phones.

Re: New Phones
I think (for those of you who don't have one and can't see what the fuss is all about) that you can't really look at a smartphone as a phone any more- it's more a tiny computer that just so happens to be able to make and receive phone calls.

It's a camera, a Walkman that can hold your entire music collection, a portable shrine to carry pictures of your loved ones wherever you go, a GPS, a book of maps, an internet browser, a video camera, a compass, diary, alarm clock, games console, a TV, a permanent fucking ankle tag (okay, that's not so great), a child-silencing device, a book of contacts, a radio, Ceefax, porno cinema, something to watch films on before they ever come out at the cinema, your email and a hundred other things.

Being able to make calls on them is a nice bonus. People make such a big deal out of them because they ARE a pretty big deal.

Personally I think you can never have enough screen size and love Samsung's Note series of phones. OLED is a phenomenal technical feat that one day all ultra-high quality TVs will utilise. I'd really struggle to go back to a smaller phone.

I have a Nokia 6210.
It does everything you would expect of a mobile phone.
You can make AND receive calls. It's great.

Re: New Phones
If you want a phone where the battery lasts you really can't beat the sony xperia z3 compact. Just put mine on charge after 51 hours.

Re: New Phones
These "super quick" phones.

Do they come provided with a facility whereby you can store all the time you've saved, in the manner , say, that an Embassy cigarette smoker could save up the coupons that came in every packet of fags, and turn it into something useful like a TV or set of matching bathroom towels?

I upgraded my HTC Desire to a Nokia C2 in the middle of last year and haven't regretted it for one instant.

I've has Sammy phones for the past 4 years and loved every one of them. Not only are they great blowers but being able to add extra memory and spare batteries was the clincher.
Hence why the S6 can go fuck itself.

Re: New Phones
Got a HTC one.

Best new one I've seen is the new s6 edge. It really is a stunning phone. Same spec as the s6 and of course your paying extra for the gimmicks, but the screen is something else for a phone, prob best screen ever made.
